We are Kobanzame, a vintage shop in an old wooden house in Kawagoe. Filigree is the technique of bending fine silver wire into shapes that leave open space — like lace, made in metal.
The craft
Each petal is built from swirling wire, and the layers give the flower real depth. At 2.5 × 4 × 1 cm the pendant has some presence and casts a small shadow at the neck.
Age
Natural tarnish sits deep in the detail and strengthens the light and shade of the work. Some signs of use and fine scratches; no issues for everyday wear.
How to wear it
The 40 cm rope chain sits around the collarbone. Over a plain T-shirt or a dress, or as an accent on a kimono or yukata obi cord.
