We are Kobanzame, a vintage shop in an old wooden house in Kawagoe. Pecos (roper) boots from ARIAT, the American brand that grew out of riding boots — practical and quietly refined.
Build
A plain shaft, a round toe and a low heel. Pull straps at the opening and the ARIAT logo stamped by the heel. ARIAT is known for a light, sneaker-like walk.
Condition, honestly
Scuffs at the toes and heels, creasing, and general wear. Near the inner ankle of one boot there is some surface cracking and peeling of the leather (it does not affect wear). Resoled with TOPY soles, with plenty of life left.
How to wear them
Plain black, so they work with denim or slacks, and ground a dress or wide trousers. For anyone.
